Frauds using the ACS brand (27/11/2025)
Dear Customers,
In recent weeks, there has been a significant increase in attempts to deceive recipients through fraudulent and misleading electronic messages (phishing) sent via email, Viber, and SMS.
These scams affect not only our customers but consumers in general. In many cases, the messages appear to come from ACS, as they misuse our company’s logo and identity with the intent to steal information and commit fraud against consumers.
These deceptive messages often contain false claims regarding supposed pending shipments or outstanding payments, and they prompt recipients to click on malicious links or to enter personal and banking information on fake websites.
Phishing Messages
Such messages typically operate as follows:
- They closely resemble genuine ACS notifications sent to customers.
- They replicate the ACS logo, design elements, and overall style of authentic company emails.
- They use language intended to create a sense of urgency.
- They urge you to download an attachment or click on an embedded link.
Important Notice from ACS
- ACS never requests personal or banking information via SMS or email.
- Official company announcements and services are provided exclusively through our website www.acscourier.net or through the ACS Mobile App.
- Official ACS communication is always sent by the verified sender “ACS Courier” or through our official Viber Business channel “ACS Courier” (found in your Viber Business Inbox).
- Official ACS emails are always sent from addresses ending in “@acscourier.gr”. We never use free email providers such as “@gmail.com”, “@yahoo.com”, or others.
- Whenever ACS contacts you regarding a shipment, the message will always include the shipment tracking number in the body of the email, Viber message, or SMS.
- You can verify the validity of any tracking number using our Digital Assistant available on www.acscourier.gr or via the ACS Mobile App. You can also use the Digital Assistant to manage your shipment, such as adding delivery instructions.
How to Protect Yourself
Please keep in mind the following guidelines to help protect yourself from online fraud:
- Stop, check, and think before taking any action on an email, Viber, or SMS message you have received. Take a moment to verify before proceeding.
- Carefully inspect the sender’s address and compare it to previous legitimate communications from ACS. Look for spelling, grammatical, or formatting errors, which are common indicators of fraudulent messages.
- If something seems suspicious, do not reply, ignore, and delete the message. Do not click on any links or download attachments or images.
- In case of doubt, visit the official ACS website for relevant announcements and information.
- We strongly advise you to remain cautious and vigilant. Please note that ACS cannot be held responsible for any expenses, charges, or payments made outside official ACS procedures as a result of fraudulent activity.
ACS follows all legal and procedural obligations and maintains communication with the relevant authorities, as appropriate, to ensure the protection of consumers.
We thank you for your attention and cooperation. Our team remains at your disposal for any further clarification.
Sincerely,
ACS Courier Services S.A.
